1. Information we collect
- Account data — email, name, role (parent, teacher, school, student).
- Child profiles — display name, avatar, age band, class and syllabus provided by a parent or teacher.
- Learning activity — quiz scores, streaks, badges, chapter progress and voice-buddy usage.
- Device data — browser type, log timestamps and basic diagnostics.
- Optional content — photos or notes submitted as assignment evidence, and textbook scans.
2. How we use it
- To personalise chapters, games and life-skill modules by age and syllabus.
- To show parents and teachers progress dashboards.
- To keep the Service secure and detect abuse.
- To send transactional and (opt-in) digest emails.
3. Children's data
ZAZE is designed for children under adult supervision. Child profiles are created and managed by a parent, teacher or school. We do not sell child data, do not show third-party ads and do not use child data to train external AI models.
4. Sharing
We share data only with processors that help us run the Service (hosting, database, email, AI inference), under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell personal data.
5. Retention
We keep account and progress data for as long as the account is active. Textbook scan images are auto-deleted after their retention window. You can request deletion at hi@zaze.app.
6. Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data by writing to us. Parents/teachers can delete a child profile from the Parent or Teacher Hub at any time.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, row-level authorisation and periodic security scans. No system is perfectly secure — please report vulnerabilities to hi@zaze.app.
8. Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be announced in-app or by email.
